One day city tour - Beijing Hutongs
Summary: If you want to experience homely interior of Beijing, the Hutongs (narrow alleyways) is a must-see. Many Hutongs are swept away in Beijing's race to a mordern city. There is not much exception other than the Houhai area where Hutongs are well preserved and developed.
One day city tour
Meet up with your city guide at 9 am,visit the Houhai area which boasts the well preserved Hutongs. An interesting rickshaw ride may help recall the local life of the old days while a lunch in a courtyard with a local family will show you the inside of the local life today. Opportunity to learn Chinese cooking from the hostess with whose family that you will have your lunch. Tour ends in the early evening at the lakeside. You may stay up longer in one of the music bars enjoying a cold beer or a fresh Chinese tea.
