Day 1
Beijing.
arrival at Beijing,meet the driver at the arrival hall after check luggage reclaim,transfer to the central accommodation,rest of the day at leisure.
Day 2
Great Wall Mutianyu
Beijing
hotel breakfast, full day excursion to the less visited section of the Great Wall Mutianyu,which is less crowded and offers much more spectacular views and longer trekking.
Day 3
Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, the Hutongs
Beijing
hotel breakfast, full day free to explore the city (eg the Forbidden City,the Temple of Heaven,the Hutongs etc) before transfer to the station in early evening,take the 4 berth overnight sleeper train to Xian.
Day 4
Wild Goose pagodas, City Wall, Tang Dynasty Singing & Dancing Show
Xian
arrive in Xian in the early morning,meet the driver,transfer to the central accommodation, rest of the day at leisure to explore the Wild Goose pagodas,the well preserved City Wall on which cycling is an option.The to-do list would certainly include to walk the night food market, to see the Tang Dynasty Singing & Dancing Show or to try the traditional dumpling dinner.
Day 5
Terracotta Warriors & Horses, Bell & Drum Tower Square
Xian
hotel breakfast, day excursion to visit the Terracotta Warriors & Horses housed in the Museum of Emperor Qinshihuang's Tomb,back to the city to walk the Bell & Drum Tower Square before transfer to station,4 berth overnight sleeper train to Shanghai.
Day 6
Pudong area, Acrobat's Show or the Huangpu River cruise
Shanghai
arrive in Shanghai, meet the driver and transfer to the central accommodation,rest of the day at leisure to explore this bustling metropolis,Clients can either walk the fast developing Pudong area or idle around the busy old town.Acrobat's Show or the Huangpu River cruise would certainly make a very impressive night out.
Day 7
Zhujiajiao
Shanghai
hotel breakfast, full free day to explore Shanghai or the living water town Zhouzhuang.
Day 8
Shanghai
tour ends after breakfast.
